THOUGHTS OF THE DAY
As soon as I finished the PiYo Sweat video today, and I was completely out of breath, Jeff asked me how I felt. I immediately told him, “My body hates me right now, yet it loves me too.” It’s the truth. My body hates me because I pushed it hard to it’s limits, and made it feel like jello when the video ended. Yet it loves me too, because I literally worked it to the core and it knows if I keep this up, that is what will help me strengthen and tone. It also loves me because I didn’t give up like I have before in the past… and oh how I wanted to give up after the first 10 minutes, then after the first 15 minutes, and again at the 25 minute mark! But I made it through, and I’m so happy I did! Ok, those last 2 minutes of stretches then pushups then stretches and then more pushups may have only been stretches for me, but I know I’ll get there. Besides, it’s only Day #4 and I know I’ll improve significantly by the end of this 60 day journey!
Overall, today was great! I exercised, I did some job searching, I went out to lunch with two former co-workers who I haven’t seen in months, and I had the awesome opportunity to witness my boyfriend answer the phone when my dad called trying to pretend it was me answering and then to hear laughter on both ends of the phone. It’s the little things that make me smile 🙂
TODAY’S FOOD JOURNAL
Breakfast: Leftover “Which came first? The Chicken or the Egg Bake?”
Snack #1: none today
Lunch: a “Napa Spinach Salad” with chicken, baby spinach, bacon, red onions, mushrooms, house vinaigrette, green apples, pecans and dried cranberries – It was the healthiest thing at the restaurant where I had lunch with my friends.
Snack #2: probably more like a desert, I had a peanut butter cookie
Dinner: leftover turkey burger and broccoli slaw from last night
Water: I’m pretty sure I made it to 60 ounces today… woo hoo!
Coffee: 1 cup with 1 TB So Delicious Vanilla Coconut Creamer
